The client relied on disconnected consumer trackers with minute-long delays and no fleet-level view. Dispatchers were calling drivers to confirm locations, and there was no way to enforce routes or get alerts when a vehicle left an assigned zone.
We built an event-driven backend that ingests GPS pings at scale, a websocket layer for sub-second map updates, and a dispatcher dashboard with geofencing, route history, and instant alerts. We rolled it out fleet-by-fleet to keep operations running throughout.
